Week 1 Reflection

WHAT:This week we made some clay animals, we had to choose some thing round.  First we had to roll our clay into round  balls, then we had to put our thumbs into the balls then pinch around the edges. Also we  rearranged the class. We also started badminton at Springvale Stadium and Mrs Larsen announced our fantasy rugby team winner it was Darian. Last  term  the whole senior school did a dance our class danced to thriller .

SO WHAT: This week I learnt allot more on badminton skills and learnt another way to ask which day it is in Maori. Also how to do long jump correctly. 

NOW WHAT: Next week I want to hope fully finish all of my work on time . Also want  get my word of the week in the right order.

A couple of weeks ago Mrs Larsen showed us this website where we could create our own pictures. This is mine. We could choose any background we wanted.

Week 6 Refletion

 WHAT:This week we went on a trip with our buddy class  to the Art gallery and to Rugby Roadshow. At the art gallery we created some pinned rugby men.Also we had a fantastic Duffy Show about a golfer wanting to close down all of the Library Busses. Also we went for a walk with Room12 and Room 2 to  see a house down the road that was decorated with countries flags competeing in the Rugby World Cup.We also got to create our own fantasy rugby team.We also did cross country. 4 of us got to go down before every one else and set up.

SO WHAT:This week I learnt how to create pinned rugby players. I also learnt that in 1987 Australia beat Tonga 100 nil.

NOW WHAT:Next week I hope to get all of my work done in the time given.Also I hope we get to meet the Eagles from A merica.

Week 5 Reflection

What: This week went to the council chambers because Jack Bullock invited us to come and meet our Mayor Annette Main. She talked to us about when she was at school then we had some morning tea. Also this week started making little rugby players to stick onto to our class number. Also this week we put up a flag for the All Blacks it has the silver fern on it. Also some of us  finished our class collages and buddy art collages.

So What: This week I learnt how Annette Main became Mayor. I also learnt about some window in the chambers.

Now What: Next week I hope we have a BP Tecnology Challange. I also want to get my work finished on time.

Week 4 Reflection

What: This week we had a mystery reader it was Mrs Benton’s husband Marty Benton, he read us story called dirty Berty, he also let us hold some of his gear. He got Zane to stand up and get into his uniform and then Zane had to go to Room 12 with Marty. Also the crocodiles got a new activity for when we finish our work to early. This week we also had to finish our collages with our buddies.

So What: This I learnt a new spelling activity about the long ‘e’ sound. Also I learnt about a new website called glogger. Also Room 15 made quizzes about ourselves .

Now What : Next week I hope I'm king of the den. Also I hope I get more gold stars in hand writing.

Week 3 Reflection

What: This week we had a guest speaker Robin from Scholastic. She came in to tell us about boys books. .Robin also told us that some of the books she will be able to put on duffy books.We also had life education on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday we talked about friend ship. On Tuesday  Tracey came in to talk to us about dangerous decibles. She told us a story about a boy that affected his ears.

SO What: This week I learnt  that  you can only stand by a jack hammer  for  10 seconds. I also learnt more  about  friendship.

NOW WHAT: Next week my goal is to get  my group's inquiry finished and edited. I hope next week we do another Bp technology challenge.

Global Warming

What is Global warming ?

global warming is when the earth heats up [the temperature rises]. It happens when green-house gases [carbon dioxide], water, earth and air combine.                                                                                                                                     

What are the problems?

the sun is melting the ice and is making the water rise.

It’s making it harder for people to catch fish also it is flooding out peoples homes.

What can we do to help?

Stop letting green house gases get out into the air. stop using steam trains. Also aeroplanes and  use modern fridges.

Our Friend John

Today when everyone came into class to mark homework, Mrs Larsen introduced us to John. He  came with the Chinese exchange students. Today he has been recording every thing we do  We took some photos for John and Mrs Larsen.

Suddenly Boom, Crash, Bang!! the door slamed it was my uncle rushing threw to trying to try and shoot me with the toy gun owl you got me that really hert he just lauhged and smiled at me. Creep, Creep, Creep!!. Out came my sister shoot I yelled

Week 1 Reflection

WHAT: This week our school had some Chinese exchange students come to teach us some things about China and learn some stuff about New Zealand. Also we did  a new BP Technology Challange. It was to eat rice and fruit with chop sticks. We have also started a new art goal. We also started a new jump jam.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to count to five and write my name in Chinese. Also I kind a learnt how to use chop sticks.

NOW WHAT: Now I want to get my work finished on time and put more effort into my work.

Suddenly!!! police noises were heard then a donkey was seen dragging a police car. After that a bunch of psychos came running into the middle of the road and the police started bashing them.Now the public are asking why they were bashing them?. Suddenly the psychos got thrown into the police truck, then they were driven away to be sentenced.

Complex Sentences

Our focus was complex sentences things high lighted are complex sentences.


On Friday I went to the shop because I wanted lollies, I also got bread for mum. When we got home I had some sandwhiches with ham on them. Then we went to the park  because I wanted to play on the swing, I also  went on the slide. It was fun.

Week 10 Reflection

What: This week we started a new focus for taking photo's and our focus was close up shot's. We also  had our boys night out and our old focus winner was anounced and it was Me and David. We also got taught how to  make a voki and they all look fantastic.In art some of us finished our blending and we are now up to crazy glueing them.

So What:This week i learnt how to take close up photo's. And i also learnt  3 new song's in jump jam. I also Learnt how to make voki's.

Now What: Next week i hope to be a king and stay on the wall of fame. And get my prize.

Water Towers

 

When Room15 and Room12 went on our day out we went to the water tower. When we got there Mrs Larsen told us to draw the water tower. Some of us went close up to the tower and some of us went on the foot path. When we got back to school we blended them and stuck them on coulered paper they look fantastic.

Week 9 Reflection

What: This week we started a new shared reading book. When we finished reading it we wanted design a robot. We also did writing in writing we kept talking and had to stay in. This week we also did I.T buddies. Our buddies had to finish their posts from last week. In handwriting we started our new letters to link. In inquiry we started a new inquiry it's called safer journeys so lets get creative.

So What: This week I learnt to draw fantastic flowers and to kinda blend them. In handwriting some of us learnt how to slope.

Now What: Next week I hope to do a BP Tecnology Challenge and my goal next week is to be a Lion.

Boys Night Out

Today some of Room15 wrote letters for our parents explaning that we are having a boys night out only for us and a parent no brothers and sisters allowed. We will start off in our class to show our parents what we have been doing this year.Then we will go over to hall to have a shared dinner then we are going to sit down and have chat about how we feel about being in the boys class.

Week 4 Reflection

What:This week we started handwriting. We have a new focus it's linking. When the Year fours went swimming the Year six's got taught how to email each other. We also started doing our ikan test. We started a new book for shared reading. Some of us finished our homework project's and we also started our successful person project.

So What: This week we learnt more about keeping ourselves safe and learnt another way to say how are you in Maori. I learnt some more interesting words in shared reading.

NOW WHAT: Next week I hope we do another BP Technology Challenge and I hope i'm King of the Den.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT: This week Room 15 had a competition to see who could look after an egg for the rest of the week. Mrs Larsen gave us a project about our favourite fairy tale book. We also did our  BP Technology Challenge. In kapa haka we learnt a new song.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to look after an egg.

NOW WHAT: Next week I want to do another BP Technology Challenge.

Week 2 Reflection

WHAT: This week Room 15 did some more work on keeping ourselves safe. We also stared our book covers. Today we started drawing ukulele to put as music notes.
SO WHAT: This week we learnt in art when blending, you go over the edge of the other colour. We also found out that it’s challenging to make a castle out of newspaper.
NOW WHAT: Next week I want to be a king and have another go at building a castle.

Week 11 Reflection

WHAT: This week Room 15 got taught how to work Jib Jab. We also finished our scribble art pictures. We also had Rayz Roadshow come to Carlton School

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to do scribble art pictures and learnt more about brains.

NOW WHAT: Next term my goal is to finish tasks onb time.

Week 10 Reflection

WHAT:This week Room15 started doing there continus line faces fist we had to draw copy in our drawing books when we were finished our good copy we had to go back to one of our old copys and colour it in.

SO WHAT:This week I've learnt how to describe the front and back of a book.


NOW WHAT This week I want to earn much more tokens and get all of my work done.

Week 9 Reflection

WHAT: This week Mrs Larsen came back from being sick. We have also had our Duffy Assembly. Today Mrs Larsen taught  Room 15 how to edit photos on be funky.com.

SO WHAT: This week I have learnt how to draw my face using continuous line and some of us learnt how to retell story.

NOW WHAT: This week I want be king of the den and earn lots of tokens.

Week 6 Reflection

WHAT: This week Mrs Larsen taught Room 15 some basic greetings and farewells in Maori. After that she told us if they were formal or informal. We also put our Avatars on our blogs. It was fun.

SO WHAT: This week in swimming for we have been learning to float on our stomachs and backs.

NOW WHAT: I would like to be a King and get my work finished.

Week 5 Reflection

WHAT: This week Room 15 did a BP Tecnology Challenge on Tuesday. Our challenge was to build a shelter to protect us from the rain.


NOW WHAT: This week I learnt how to create an avatar.


SO WHAT: Next week I would like to put my avatar on my blog and I would like to earn more tokens.
